“It is my belief that every young tennis player should be given a foundation that will allow them to grow without
limit, both as players and as athletes in an environment filled with fun and encouragement.”
I have been involved
with tennis ever since my father first took me to the La Canada tennis courts at the age of eight. I competed in tournaments
and was number one on the Crescenta Valley High School tennis team. Pasadana High School was in the league and Stan Smith
was the number one player there, so I played one of the greatest players in history. I learned quite a lot in a very short
period of time!!!
Tennis is my life long passion. I was inspired to instruct when, after years of competitive
play, my oldest daughter challenged me to teach her. This was an opening to further my passion and to help others learn. I
took this challenge seriously and began training with the United States Professional Tennis Association to become a professional
instructor.
Soon my schedule was filled and I am on the court every day of the week instructing students from absolute
beginners to tournament level players. I continue to be a student of the game attending all USPTA, PTR, and Tennis Teacher's
Institute educational forums held monthly, quarterly and yearly. I am Second VP of the California Division. I strive to connect
with the students and patience is a natural part of my programs.
My private lessons are available in five formats:
Skill Specific, Developmental, Strategic, Learn How to Practice More Efficiently, and the Aerobic Cardio Workout Lesson.
