USTA Jr. TEAM TENNIS

The Flint Canyon USTA Jr. Team Tennis Blue 12's team participated in the Sectional Championships for southern California.

Wow!!! What an exciting weekend. Our USTA Jr. Team Tennis 12 and under Intermediates played in the Sectional Championships at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. We represented the Pasadena/Glendale Division and played against teams from all over southern California. The experience was well balanced as we won the first two matches and led by 4 games going into the Sunday morning match. We did not win enough games to qualify for the finals but we gained a great amount of experience and will be back for more competition.
Our team included Reilly Dalleska, Brandon Deguzman, Sawa Keymeulen, Alex Orloff, Troxell Roclord, Kevin Rowe, Reid Schreck, Justin Warren, and Julia Wohl. Thanks for the team’s enthusiasm and effort and thanks to the families' support.
The Jr. Team Tennis Program is designed to bring together boys and girls from 10 to 14 years of age to experience their first competitive situations and test their tennis abilities. We practice and then play other clubs in our division. If we qualify we go on to the Sectional Championships. There are two seasons, fall and spring. We stress understanding competition, social skills, cooperation, unity and especially individual self growth.
